Terms and Conditions

Version 2026-10-20, effective October 20, 2026. This is a translation; if it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.

1. MakerCalc and contact

MakerCalc lets you calculate 3D printing costs, organize a workshop, prepare quotes and view information from compatible printers.

MakerCalc is the trade name of a software service operated from Chile.

Support and complaints: ….

2. Service and purchase

The public calculator can be used without an account. With an account you can access a cloud workshop, with the features and limits of the chosen plan.

To purchase a plan you must accept these terms. Merely visiting the site does not constitute acceptance. The processing of personal data is explained in the privacy policy; optional consents are managed separately.

To create an account or purchase a plan you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts. If you act for a company or workshop, you must be authorized to do so on its behalf.

3. Account, workshops and team

Your account is personal: protect your credentials and do not share them. Collaborators must sign in with their own account.

Workshop owners and administrators manage their members' access within the permissions of the service. If you leave a workshop or lose access, you may no longer be able to view its shared records, which may be kept for the workshop's activity.

4. Content and intellectual property

Each owner keeps their rights over the content added to the service. You must have the permissions needed to upload, share and use it in MakerCalc.

You authorize MakerCalc and its technical providers to host, process, display and transmit the content solely to provide the service and for as long as necessary to do so. This authorization does not allow selling it or exploiting it for purposes unrelated to the service.

MakerCalc and its licensors keep the rights to their components, designs and trademarks. Third-party components are governed by their own licenses.

5. Calculations, quotes and monitoring

Estimates depend on your data and settings and do not guarantee the actual cost. You must review the results before using them to make business decisions.

Quotes concern the relationship between your workshop and its customer. MakerCalc helps prepare and deliver them, without being the seller of the parts or a party to that contract.

Anyone with a shared quote link can access the document and keep a copy.

Monitoring information may be delayed, interrupted or out of date. It does not replace physical supervision or a printer's safety systems.

6. Acceptable use

Respect the law and the rights of others. Do not access other workshops without authorization, bypass permissions or limits, or compromise security with malicious content or abusive loads. Activities allowed by mandatory rules or applicable licenses remain permitted.

7. Plans, payments and cancellation

The features, limits and conditions confirmed at purchase are part of your offer. A later change to the pricing page does not, by itself, change what you have already purchased.

7.1. Purchase and invoicing

Paddle acts as the authorized reseller (Merchant of Record) for paid subscriptions. The sale, payment and invoicing are governed by Paddle's buyer terms and its refund policy. The selling entity is identified in the transaction. MakerCalc provides the software and keeps its obligations regarding the service.

7.2. Plan, price and taxes

The features and limits of each plan are described on the pricing page.

The plan, currency, total price including taxes and billing period are shown before you confirm the purchase. The total amount accepted at purchase is the one that applies.

7.3. Renewal and price changes

Plans renew automatically in monthly or annual cycles until you cancel the renewal.

Price increases apply to future renewals, with the advance notice described in section 10. You can cancel before they take effect.

7.4. Plan changes

  • Upgrading, or switching from monthly to annual within the same tier: the full price of the new plan is charged immediately and a new cycle starts when the change is processed. No prorated discount for the previous period is applied automatically. The amount and date are shown before you confirm.
  • Downgrading within the same cycle: there is no immediate charge and the lower tier is scheduled for the renewal. You keep the current tier until the effective date.

7.5. Cancellation and reduced capacity

You can cancel the renewal from your account, the purchase email or Paddle.net. A regular cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and stops future renewals; until then you keep access to the plan.

When a cancellation or downgrade takes effect, the limits of the resulting plan apply. Going over them may restrict creating new records; features reserved for higher plans are no longer available.

Anything over the new limits is locked, starting with the most recent: printers, connected printers, materials, electricity rates and saved calculations. While it is locked you can see what it is and delete it, but not view or export its content. If the workshop has more accounts than the plan allows, the most recent ones are paused and the owner can reactivate them when there is room. Everything becomes available again when you purchase a plan with enough capacity or delete what is over the limit.

If the workshop is still over the limits six months after it first went over them, the entire workshop is deleted, with its records, quotes and files. Until then, the dashboard shows the deletion date. Your rights over personal data remain as set out in the privacy policy.

7.6. Failed payments

If a payment fails, Paddle may retry it. While the subscription is unpaid, its paid features are suspended and the free limits apply, unless you have another valid right of access. Access is restored once the payment is settled and the reactivation is confirmed.

7.7. Account closure and payments

Closing your account cancels the Paddle subscription and stops future renewals. Data deletion and retention are described in the privacy policy.

7.8. Refunds and right of withdrawal

MakerCalc does not offer a voluntary money-back guarantee. Cancelling future renewals does not mean the paid period is refunded. The cases covered by Paddle's policy and any refund or withdrawal rights granted to you by law are respected; they are not lost automatically by starting to use the service.

You can request refunds or exercise those rights from your receipt or at Paddle.net. For service issues, contact MakerCalc.

8. Availability and liability

Interruptions, errors and maintenance may occur. MakerCalc does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or a complete absence of errors.

MakerCalc is responsible for its obligations regarding the service, and users for their content and decisions. These terms do not exclude non-waivable rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

9. Suspension and termination

MakerCalc may restrict access because of a material breach, a security threat or a legal obligation. The measure will be proportionate; where possible and appropriate, you will be told the reason and how to fix it. To cancel payments or close your account, see section 7.

10. Changes and complaints

Material changes to prices or terms will be communicated by email at least 30 calendar days in advance. Notices will state what changes and from what date. They will also be shown when you open the dashboard.

Where required, we will ask you to accept the changes; the notice alone does not replace your acceptance. Rights and conditions already purchased will be respected; publishing a new version does not authorize retroactive or abusive changes.

You can submit complaints through the contact in section 1, without limiting your right to go to the competent authorities or courts.
